ACE's ART ENRICHMENT

Program Objectives: 

In order to enhance the students learning in core subjects,  students are encouraged to use their imagination and creativity in completing projects, thus, thinking outside of the box.  Students will use various mediums as they implement the various elements of art.

Methods of Implementation: 

Direct instruction and student centered learning are implemented during a six week course throughout the school year.

Measures of success or achievement: 

Work completion, effort and on-task behaviors and final display of completed projects.

Grant Description: 

The Art Enrichment class is designed to introduce students to the elements of art using various techniques and materials.  It also includes various artists and their application of such techniques.  Each rotation of classes lasts 6 weeks and envolves a total of 150+ students.

How does this grant tie into your PLC: 

MaryBeth Kehoe and I meet to discuss curriculuum so that the 7th grade art builds on the abilities taught during the sixed grade year.  We share ideas and materials to enhance both programs.
